Cornie’s Kitchen finally got the cook motivated. Seems a sudden salary renegotiation strike here at year end was about to shut the kitchen down for good. Oh my! Did I overwhelm my staff during the holidays with the extra baking of cookies, fudge or muffins? Or was it just the crankiness due to Santa leaving the extra pounds in her stocking along with the new perfume? (That was a little rude, really.)

Tonight’s menu, once an attitude adjustment glass of wine took effect:
Hearty Chicken Soup with Italian cheese, mushrooms, red onions, sun dried tomatoes, spinach & whole grain pasta.

I haven’t been writing lately because of NaNoWriMo, which is National Novel Writing Month. I spent November and December glued to my computer and produced a rough draft that’s a little over 90,000 words. I’ll catch up to y’all in a bit. I have an art show to hang next week! But it’s winter and once the weather socks us in, writing begins in earnest!

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF YOU! Joy & peace, Cornie

About artandicon

Artist, head cook at Cornie's Kitchen, explorer of both the inner and outer worlds, and tree hugger. My paintings are at ARTANDICON: art at the crossroads of life & faith. Every rock, tree, stream & cloud shouts out with the joy of God! I also write a sci-fi spiritual journey blog about Miriam, a time traveling priestess from the planet Didumos, who visits earth when she has an epileptic seizure, and shares my life. Obviously, my own mind was time traveling when I set up my journey blog!
