It’s a cold spring day on the lake. I’m working on my books (tax extension). After years in the ministry, I never was able to get that April deadline down because it only added more stress to the Lent & Easter activities in my churches. I would work on this stuff after all the excitement was over and I could concentrate.

Yes, I’ve been away from active service for six years, but a 20 year habit isn’t easily broken. As my daddy used to say, “why mess with a good thing? If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” If the IRS doesn’t mind, then I don’t mind! This rainy day is too bad for painting, so paperwork it is. At least I’ll see my dining room table after this is over!

Y’all have a good day in the kitchen. Love & massive amounts of coffee, Cornie

About artandicon

Artist, head cook at Cornie's Kitchen, explorer of both the inner and outer worlds, and tree hugger. My paintings are at ARTANDICON: art at the crossroads of life & faith. Every rock, tree, stream & cloud shouts out with the joy of God! I also write a sci-fi spiritual journey blog about Miriam, a time traveling priestess from the planet Didumos, who visits earth when she has an epileptic seizure, and shares my life. Obviously, my own mind was time traveling when I set up my journey blog! https://souljournieswordpress.wordpress.com
